Gareth Wesson 25 Year old, ex Plymouth Argyle YTS, Newport County and Cwmbran Town. Class No 1 has come back home!
Daniel Chamberlain Very promising 19-year old signed from Newport Civil Service. Full back who is eager for Welsh League action.
Jamie Martin Versatile 20-year old who has developed through the Youth team. Had a good second half of last season after breaking into the first team.
Craig James 26-year old who has missed the last two seasons with a knee injury. Determined central defender with a will to win. Another ex-youth team player.
Gareth Lynch 26-year old Centre Back, with good pace and a good understanding and reading of the game. Another to come from our youth system.
Daniel Heath 23-year-old central defender. At 6’5”, Daniel should impose himself on the opposition more. Ex-YM Youth team player.
Craig Ford 19-year old full back or centre back. Arrived from Newport County, and played a total of 60 games for all our teams last term.
Alex Stewart Another ex-Newport County Academy player, Alex is a 23-year old versatile defender/midfielder who was our Clubman of the Year last season.
Darren Porretta At 34-years young, Darren brings a wealth of experience to the young side, and can boast Newport County as one of his former clubs.
Leon Spargo 25-year old utility player who needs to commit himself to utilise the best of his abilities. Another to develop from the youth system at the YM.
Steve Edwards 25-year old midfield dynamo. Work commitments have seriously hampered his availability but Steve always gives 100% when available for selection.
John Pardue Player of the Year last term, John is 24-years old, another from the Youth teams and with a lot more to offer.
Alex Jenkins At just 19-years, Alex impressed everyone when promoted through from the youth team. Bags of potential in this midfielder
Mark Drew 21 year old product of our youth set up, equally at home at full back or central defence. Mark has re-established himself in the side after a spell out through injury. Joe O’Brien Another 19-year old midfielder with a terrific engine. Missed a lot of last season with injury.
Faris Yafai 27-year old combative and versatile player, Faris creates problems for the opposition, especially up front.
Aaron Stewart Another who suffered with injury last season, Aaron is fast and effective in the last third. 28-year old who has built up a good understanding with strike partner Lewis Sommers.
Lewis Sommers 23-year old ex Newport County, Cwmbran Town and Merthyr Tydfil striker. Our leading scorer last season. Lewis is a free kick expert and is comfortable on the deck for a big man.
Daniel Cueto 23-year old striker. Hard working player who can score outstanding goals, and miss the odd ‘sitter’! Needs to develop consistency to reach his full potential.
Chris Egitto 29-year old striker. Shoulder injury kept Chris out of action for the past two seasons, and like Daniel Cueto, capable of scoring the spectacular. Needs a few two-yarders to complete his game.
Junior Borg Another promising youngster who has fought his way into the side this season. He can play midfield or up front and offers the side pace. And energy
Mark Coldrick Manager, starting his fourth season at the helm. Excellent motivator on and off the pitch who has impressed everyone with his total commitment to the club and good communication levels
Darren Bidgood Assistant Manager. In Partnership with Mark Coldrick for many years as players at both Llanwern and now the YM. Great complement in the management hot seats.
Paul Coldrick Assistant Manager. Played for Newport County before a long association with our neighbours Caerleon, as a player and manager. Further enforces our Coldrick/Porretta ties.
Dave Murphy Coach. A convert from the oval ball, Dave works tirelessly during and around match days in maintaining the player’s fitness and interest levels.. Another excellent motivator.
Phil Facey Physio. Phil ran our youth team last season but has given that job up to take on the role of club physio. Phil will get plenty of opportunities to showcase his physiotherapy skills
